Meditation can improve symptoms of anxiety, depression (January 6, 2013 - Insidermedicine) From Baltimore - Meditation can improve symptoms of anxiety and depression, according to a report published in JAMA Internal Medicine. Researchers conducted a meta-analysis of 47 clinical trials and comprised of over 3,500 participants. Results showed that participation in an eight-week training program of mindfulness meditation had improvements in their symptoms of anxiety, depression, and pain. However, there was little evidence of improvement in stress and quality of life.
