Fish oil may reduce seizures in epilepsy patients
Fish oil may reduce seizures in epilepsy patients (September 10, 2014 - Insidermedicine) From California - According to research published in the BMJ, fish oil may help reduce seizure frequency in epilepsy patients. Researchers studied 24 epilepsy patients no longer responding tot their drug therapy, randomizing participants to 3 capsules of fish oil a day (a low dose) and placebo, 6 capsules of fish oil a day or 3 capsules or placebo twice a day. Results showed that those taking low dose fish oil has less seizures in a month than those taking high dose or placebo.
