Families with autistic children much less likely to have more children (June 23, 2014 - Insidermedicine) From San Francisco - Families with autistic children are less likely to have more kids, according to a report published in JAMA Psychiatry. Researchers studied nearly 20,000 families with an autistic child and over 36,000 control families. They found that families with an autistic child were one third less likely to have a second child when compared to controls.
