1 in 10 women in UK have dry eye disease
1 in 10 women in UK have dry eye disease (September 5, 2014 - Insidermedicine) From the UK - According to research published in the BMJ, around 10% of women in the UK have dry eye disease requiring artificial tears. Researchers studied nearly 4000 twin women between the ages of 20 and 87 years. Of these, nearly 700 were randomly selected to undergo analysis for dry eye disease and related symptoms. Results showed that one in 10 women were diagnosed with the disease, requiring artificial tear drops.
