The closer the takeout food outlets, the higher the risk of obesity (March 13, 2014 - Insidermedicine) From London - A new report published in the BMJ finds that higher exposure to takeout food outlets greatly raise risk of obesity. Researchers studied data on over 5,000 adults between 29-62 years of age. Researchers measured the amount of food outlets in the vicinity of participant's home and work. Results showed that those most exposed to takeout food outlets near their home, work and on their way home from work were at nearly 2x increased risk of obesity.
