Statins while hospitalized for hemorrhage improves outcomes (September 24, 2014 - Insidermedicine) From California - Taking statins while being hospitalized for brain haemorrhage improves outcomes, according to a report published in JAMA Neurology. Researchers studied over 3,400 individuals who suffered an intracerebral haemorrhage over a 10 year period. Results showed that those who statins during hospitalization had better 30-day outcomes and were also more likely to be discharged to their home or rehabilitation facility than those who had their statin use discontinued.
