Preeclampsia may raise autism risk in child (December 10, 2014 - Insidermedicine) From California - According to research published in JAMA Pediatrics, preecmalpsia may raise risk of autism in the child. Researchers studied over 1,000 children between 2-3 years old. Nearly 200 of the children diagnosed with developmental delay. Results showed that children with autism were over 2x more likely to have had a mother who suffered preeclampsia during pregnancy.
