Nut and peanut consumption may lower risk of death
Nut and peanut consumption may lower risk of death (March 4, 2015 - Insidermedicine) From Tennessee - A new report published in JAMA Internal Medicine finds that eating nuts and peanuts may lower risk of cardiovascular death. Researchers studied over 70,000 men and women in the US, in addition to over 130,000 men and women in China. Results showed that individuals among the US participants who ate the most peanuts were at 21% reduced risk of mortality, while Chinese individuals were at 17% reduced risk. Both groups had a reduced risk of heart disease death, as well.
