Nearly all mothers have early problems with breastfeeding
Nearly all mothers have early problems with breastfeeding (September 25, 2013 - Insidermedicine) From California - Nearly all new mothers have early challenges with breastfeeding, according to a report published in Pediatrics. Researchers studied over 500 first-time mothers, starting during pregnancy and following participants for up to 60 days after birth. Results showed that 92% of these mothers reported at least one breastfeeding concern in the first three days after birth, 52% of whom had difficulty getting the baby to latch on. Researchers also found that those who reported early concerns were nearly 10x more likely to quit breastfeeding after just two months.
