This week, we had the opportunity to talk to Dr. Ralph George, who is an expert in breast cancer. He is an Associate Professor of Surgery and Oncology at Queen's University, and the Regional Head of Surgical Oncology for Southeastern Ontario.

We asked Dr. George what a 50-year-old woman should do if she discovers a breast lump, and what she can expect to happen at her doctor's office. He stressed the importance of a triple-assessment upon the discovery of a breast lump.

Finally, Dr. George discussed the general principles of breast cancer treatment.
