On a recent trip to Boston, we caught up with Dr. Jeffrey Meyerhardt, MD, MPH, a Gastrointestinal Oncologist at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, and an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School.  Also an active researcher in Diet and Lifestyle Studies in Patients with Colorectal Cancer, Dr. Meyerhardt concentrates on outcomes research among patients with gastrointestinal malignancies.

We asked Dr. Meyerhardt  for his thoughts on what to do if you discover blood in your stool.
