Healthy lifestyle can cut a woman's risk of stroke in half
Healthy lifestyle can cut a woman (October 10, 2014 - Insidermedicine) From Sweden - According to research published in Neurology, a healthy lifestyle can cut a woman's risk of stroke in half. Researchers studied over 31,000 women with an average age of 60, following participants for 10 years. A healthy lifestyle was deemed to be comprised of a healthy diet, moderate alcohol consumption, healthy BMI, no smoking history and walking or biking 40 minutes a day and vigorous exercise at least once per week. Results showed that women who had all five factors were at 54% reduced risk of stroke.
