Green spaces in cities improve anxiety (January 7, 2013 - Insidermedicine)From the UK - Green spaces in cities can have lasting mental health benefits, according to a report published in Environmental Science & Technology. Researchers studied over 1,000 individuals. Participants either moved to green urban areas or less green urban areas. Results showed that those who moved to greener urban areas experienced an instant improvement in their mental health and that these effects were sustained for at least three years. Those who moved to a less green area suffered a drop in their mental health
