Giving children veggies early and often increases their intake (June 3, 2014 - Insidermedicine) From the UK - According to research published in PLOS ONE, giving children vegetables early and often in life helps develop their taste for them. Researchers studied a group of over 300 children, aged 4-38 months. They found that exposing the children to a new vegetable in early life encouraged them to eat more it, when compared to offering the same up to older children. They also found that the sweetened or masked vegetables did not increase intake.
