Fit teens at reduced risk of heart attack later in life (January 8, 2013 - Insidermedicine) From Sweden - Teenagers who are fit are at reduced risk of heart attack later in life, according to a report published in European Heart Journal. Researchers studied data on over 700,000 Swedish men had an underwent a medical examination at 18 years of age, and conscripted into the armed forces from 1969-1984. Results showed that every 15% increase in a teen's aerobic fitness reduced risk of heart attack by 18% 30 years later
