Fiber may reduce risk of stroke

From Leeds – Eating more fiber in your diet can reduce risk of stroke, according to a report published in Stroke. Researchers conducted a meta-analysis of eight studies from 1990-2012. The studies focused on all of the types of stroke—ischemic stroke, cerebral hemorrhage and TIA.  Results showed that every 7g increase in daily fiber intake reduced risk of first-time stroke 7%.
