Common blood pressure med not linked to breast cancer (November 21, 2014 - Insidermedicine) From Utah - A commonly used blood pressure medication does not appear to raise risk of breast cancer, according to a report presented at the AHA's Scientific Sessions. Researchers studied data on over 3,700 women with no breast cancer history, some who were taking calcium channel blocker medications for blood pressure, others who were not taking the medication. Results showed that the medication only raised risk of breast cancer slightly, while a second study actually showed a 50% reduced risk
