Cervical screening in women up to age 69 can save lives (January 14, 2013 - Insidermedicine) From London - A new report published in PLOS Medicine finds that screening women up to age 69 for cervical cancer can save lives. Researchers studied over 1,300 women, aged 65-83 years.Participants were diagnosed with cervical cancer between 2007 and 2012. Results showed that those who had not been screen past the age of 50 had a 6x increased risk of being diagnosed with cervical cancer than those with a screening history between 50-64 years
