Blood pressure meds linked to risk of falls (February 25, 2014 - Insidermedicine) From Connecticut - Blood pressure medications may raise risk of falls, according to a report published in JAMA Internal Medicine. Researchers studied nearly 5,000 hypertension patients over the age of 70. Of these, 14% were taking no hypertension medications, 55% were taking moderate BP medications, and 31% were taking a high dose. Results showed that, after three years of follow-up, risk of falls were higher among those taking blood pressure medications when compared to non-users
