Binge drinking 5 or more drinks in a row common among high school seniors (September 17, 2013 - Insidermedicine) From Michigan - A new report published in JAMA Pediatrics finds that binge drinking among high school seniors is common. Researchers studied a nationally representative sample of over 16,000 high school seniors. Binge drinking was defined as 5 or more drinks, while extreme binge drinking was 10 or more--or 15 or more drinks in a row). Results showed that 20% of the students reported drinking five or more drinks a row, while 10% reported consuming 10 or more in a row.
