BPA exposure during pregnancy may affect lung function in child
BPA exposure during pregnancy may affect lung function in child (October 8, 2014 - Insidermedicine) From Maryland - A new report published in JAMA Pediatrics finds that prenatal exposure to BPA may impair lung function in the children. Researchers studied nearly 400 mother-infant pairs, examining the mother's urine samples at 16 and 26 weeks gestation. Participants were then followed until the children were 5. Results showed that every 10-fold increase in average maternal urinary BPA concentration was connected to a 54.8% increased risk of wheezing in the child.
